Solar Laminator Lines Transport
As the global shift toward renewable energy accelerates. The logistics behind solar power infrastructure plays a crucial role in turning vision into reality. Fast Logistics recently completed another milestone project. The safe and efficient transportation of Solar Laminator Lines from Shanghai, Tianjin, and Qingdao (China) to Nhava Sheva Port, India, with final delivery to Surat, Chikhli Factory.
This project involved over 250 containers, including 20’FR, 40’FR, 20’OT, 40’OT, and 40’HQ containers. A complex and large-scale operation that required specialized planning, precision execution, and technical expertise.
Handling Oversized Solar Machinery
The shipment comprised Solar Laminators, highly delicate and oversized machinery essential to solar panel production. Each 40’FR (Flat Rack) container carried cargo with a height of approximately 20 feet and a weight of 18 tons.
Due to their size, these shipments were categorized as OWOH (Over-Width and Over-Height) cargo. Requiring special handling, route planning, and compliance with safety regulations.
Loading at the origin ports was carried out under the strict supervision of certified surveyors to ensure stability, weight balance, and secure fastening. This attention to detail ensured that the cargo remained safe throughout its international journey.
Road Transportation: Navigating Height Restrictions with Precision
At the destination, local transportation was executed using low-bed trailers to manage height limitations. However, after loading, the total cargo height reached 22.5 feet, exceeding the standard permissible road height of 19 feet in many areas.
This created a significant logistical challenge — one that required innovation and meticulous groundwork.
Before movement, the Fast Logistics project team conducted a comprehensive road & bridge height survey. To determine a safe, compliant route for oversized cargo. Each bridge and flyover along the corridor from Nhava Sheva to Surat was inspected, and special permits were obtained for over-height cargo passage.
These proactive assessments not only ensured cargo safety but also prevented road damage, delays, and traffic disruptions.
Engineering Logistics with Precision
Beyond bridge clearances, the team also evaluated road surface conditions, identifying sections that needed reinforcement to handle heavy trailers. Every stage — from port unloading to final factory delivery — was executed under controlled supervision, adhering to strict safety protocols.
Through detailed route mapping, coordination with local authorities, and constant monitoring, the project was completed smoothly, safely, and on schedule.
Powering the Renewable Energy Chain
Transporting solar manufacturing equipment is not just a logistical operation — it’s a step toward a sustainable future. By ensuring the seamless delivery of critical solar laminator lines. Fast Logistics contributed to India’s growing renewable energy infrastructure, enabling local manufacturing and supporting the country’s green energy goals.
This project once again demonstrates Fast Logistics’ capability in handling oversized, high-value, and time-critical shipments with technical excellence and operational safety at the forefront.
